I had Joe, Katie, Dan, and Barry out for their first fly fishing trip. We were supposed to fish for smallmouth bass, but mother nature changed our plans like it has for the past few weeks. It seems like it has rained for thirty days. Thankfully the Jackson River is a tailwater fishery below Gathright Dam. Its flows are low and clear most of the time in the summer months. So we headed up there for some rainbow and brown trout action. Everyone did well with there first time fly fishing and fishing for trout for the first time. I had a great time with them and was glad to be apart of their first time fly fishing. This is Katie with one of many rainbows that were landed.
