Well about the time the rivers got back to normal we got another inch of rain.  Yes it is getting old.  Its been almost two weeks since I have been out after musky due to the high water.   Good news is Lake Moomaw has filled so the Jackson river is floatable.  Got out on it Friday to rip streamers  off the bank in the 800 cfs river flow.  We put a half  dozen browns in the boat so it wasn’t on fire by any means but a nice change to be throwing a 6wt instead of a 11wt.  It looks like the flows will stay up for the rest of winter so I will be able to offer float trips on the Jackson river this winter.  Well I’m looking forward to the water levels dropping so I can get back after the toothy fish.  The bite has been good and after this break they are getting from anglers they’ll be ready to chomp but until then trout will fill the void.
