Rain, rain, and more rain has been the norm this week. Weather men claim its done tomorrow and the sun will show it’s lovely self again. The rain was needed but like most of the time its either not enough or to much. Unfortunately the weather put a end to my smallmouth bass fishing for 2015. It was a great year with clients throwing poppers and putting more citation bass in the boat this summer than any other. With every change in the season here in Virginia there is another species to start fishing for. Trout and musky will be the main focus through Fall and Winter plus a little striped bass fishing along the way at Smith Mountain lake. I wasn’t ready for Fall but its here and I’m as ready as I can be, after not fishing for a week I filled the empty spots in the fly boxes. Looking forward to getting back out on the water this week and seeing the sun again!
